The Day I Dropped Off The Face Of The Earth

Wow I haven't blogged in such a long time! I thought I would have a look at my posts I put up and realised how much I missed doing it, its so much fun. I have been a busy little bee while I have been away. The biggest change in my life since I last blogged has been becoming a mum. I am now a proud mummy to a beautiful 3 month old baby girl. So I thought it was a nice idea to use this blog to document her life as well as chat about random things I am interested in. I was looking back on my old posts and I have changed so much, even down to my taste in  jewellery!

So many exciting things have been happening in my life recently and I wanted a place to document everything. So here I am at 2 o'clock in the morning having a brain wave and thought this would be the perfect place.

Let's see where the wind takes us.

Yellow Diamonds

I decided i had to dedicate a post to my all time favourite gem stone, the yellow diamond.

I have always loved the colour yellow and jewellery so it just makes sense for the yellow diamond to be my favourite. I recently saw a TV programme on Elizabeth Taylor's jewellery collection, and how her family decided to auction the pieces off. I don't know if anyone else saw it but if you did you'll know it was amazing. She had the most gorgeous and luxurious jewellery i have ever seen. I think the yellow diamond is so elegant looking, and can bring a bit of interest to a piece of jewellery making it more of a statement and a focal point to an outfit.

Anyways i thought it would be fun to show you some of my favourite pieces of yellow diamonds. There so beautiful!!

These beauties are from the Elizabeth Taylor collection which was auctioned off.

The two pieces are from Tiffany's. The necklace was worn by Audrey Hepburn in the 1961 film Breakfast at Tiffany's, and the ring is my all time favourite yellow diamond ring.

Some more stunning and unique yellow diamond jewellery.

Finally some celebs rocking yellow diamonds.

Love to impress!

I am going to start by saying i absolutely love love LOVE these impressed nails. There pretty new and i know alot of people rave about them, but they really are worth the hype. They are the best thing since sliced bread and have become a staple to me. I love to paint my nails, when i have the time, so these are perfect for ladies who have full time jobs or are full time mums, because it can be hard to find time to do anything never mind paint your nails. So these are definitely the answer.

They take hardly anytime to apply (trust me i timed it haha) and you get such a lovely natural looking finish. When i first put them on and went in work i got so many compliments about how nice and shiny my nails look. I have longish nails anyway so people thought I'd been to a salon to have them painted :)

Ive took some pictures and thought I'd give you a quick overview of how to apply them, there really easy but i thought it would be helpful for people who are curious.

All you do to start is match each impress nail to your nails to make sure there the right size. If you cant get the right size you get a little baby nail file to shape them to fit perfect. This is probably the most time consuming part.

Once you have made sure you have ten laid out you need to clean your nails with the prep pad your given. Obviously have no nail varnish on or anything.

Each nail comes with a sticky clear tab on the back, you just pull it off and stick it to your nail like so.

Then hey presto!!! Beautiful manicured nails in no time at all. Sorry for the pun but I'm so impressed with these. (I'm cringing at myself for putting that haha)

Thought I'd show you one week later as well just to show how good they stay, I'd say they go a tiny bit duller but nothing drastic. This is after many showers, baths even washing the pots there so sturdy.

So basically I'd recommend these bad boys to anyone and everyone. If you haven't tried them please go and grab some they sell them in super markets, superdrug or boots. There no more than £8 so well worth the money, and are a snip of what a manicure would cost if you went to the salon. Oh and they also do them in alot of different designs and colours.

Hope you enjoyed stay tuned :)

Hashtag Armswag!!

Soooo.......... Ive recently read about this new craze on instagram where people from all over the world have been showing off there jewels in the form of bracelets, watches etc and making a mash of "armswag" then posting a picture for all to see using the #armswag.

I think this is such a cool way to wear all your different favourite bracelets at the same time. You dont have to worry about different colours, different metals, nothing you just shove it all on your arm without a care in the world and off you pop!
Ive been snapping some of my own armswag moments so thought i'd share one of them, and encourage this current craze because ive been loving it :)

Favourite Jewels

I mentioned loving jewellery in my last post so thought it would be fun to show some of my favourite pieces i like wearing recently. I love playing about with jewellery and feel as though it can dress up any outfit. So just thought it would be good to give you a little peek at my faves :) I've added links to the ones which are still available, and links to similar ones you can pick up.

This gold necklace with Aztec and shell segments is really interesting and looks so pretty when the shell pieces shine in the light. This is from vivaladiva.co.uk, but Topshop has some really cool Aztec jewellery at the moment. Like these rings:

This rose gold necklace with crosses is from Topshop. Its really sleek looking as well as adding a bit of edge to an outfit. I like to wear it with plain tops, or tops of one colour.

Got this recently but couldn't find it online i found this nice one from River Island though:

These are a few of the rings i wear on a regular basis. Rings are a nice subtle way of adding something to an outfit. If I'm wearing something which i cant wear a necklace or bracelet with i always add a ring. ( I can never wear no jewellery ha ha)
From left to right i got the first one on holiday in Greece, middle one is from Dorothy Perkins and last ones from Matalan.

My rose gold Micheal Kors watch was a gift from the boyf and i absolutely love it. Its definitely a show stopper.

As you can see i wear a lot of rose gold its my favourite :)
This combo is from h&m.

Really nice gold set from ASOS:

This graphite coloured cuff is really funky and i always get compliments when wearing it, as its subtle and really interesting. Got this recently so should still be in store.

These were a gift so i don't know where exactly there from but animal accessories and print is really popular, so you can find earrings like this anywhere.

A few links to owl earrings:

Ive had these bad boys for ages and they are so pretty when they catch the light. I love wearing these with my hair up. They were from Topshop.

I picked up these cool little things from a small shop when i went to visit some friends in Barnsley. Again I've seen pretty similar ones in loads of shops.

Links to similar ones:

Bit of a long post but had fun putting it together. Thanks for taking a little peek am still getting used to this blogging malarkey so bare with me ha ha!! xx

Hello?

So this is the dreaded first post and i dont have a clue what to say. I had it all thought out and now am here with time on my hands and a laptop on my knee i dont have a clue. I guess it would be a start to say what my blog will be about. So here goes.....(excuse the grammer its not one of my strong points)

I guess this blog will be filled with whatever im interested in mainly i want it to be about fashion latest trends, make up and costume jewelry. OMG i love jewelry i have so much and i will never stop buying it i know i have to much and thats how i like it :D It will probably feature a bit of interier design aswell because im currently in the process of moving out of my childhood home, and spreading my wings with the boyf out into the big wide world humberly known as our bingalow.

I am entering a new and exciting point in my life and thought it would be the perfect time to start a blog, and bore you with my adventures into adulthood (well sort of) x
